B&L Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban Large Round Sunglasses
Early vintage B&L Bausch & Lomb sunglasses were part of one of the first production runs of sunglasses ever produced by the company, pre-dating the introduction of the Ray-Ban brand on the frame (B&L only) which came a few years later but first introducing the Ray-Ban brand for the glass lenses and ushering in the unique styling for which B&L Ray-Bans would come to be known. This is also the largest round mineral glass lens B&L ever made, a top quality precursor of large round hippie sunglasses of the 1960s. The unisex Bausch & Lomb frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the large round Bausch & Lomb mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.125" in diameter. The rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L 54, part of an amazing collection of vintage Ray-Bans and new old stock in mint, unworn condition.
