Vintage Carrera 5564 91 Aviator sunglasses feature a sleek, racing inspired design in a striking variation of classic aviator sunglasses, with a sturdy metal frame and lightweight yet optically outstanding Carrera optyl lenses. The Carrera 5564 91 sunglasses frame combines a matte black finish with gleaming gold highlights coupled with the eye catching color of the Carrera lenses. The streamlined look of Carrera 5564 sunglasses was one of the first products produced by Carrera Design studios as they moved beyond the prior year emphasis on Carrera Porsche Design styles and models. Carrera pioneered the use of optyl in eyewear, a heat-hardened plastic weighing 20% less than alternative materials that results in a reduction of allergic reactions and improved fit through a memory effect providing permanent elasticity and dimensional stability to unique lens designs. The unisex Carrera 5564 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the Carrera optyl lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 2.125" at the widest points. You'll find the Carrera racing logo embossed in white on the exterior of both ear stems and the stylized Carrera C impressed at the nose bridge, and the inside of one ear stem is marked Carrera Design Made Italy 5564 91.
