The Meflecto system involves inserting two to four small cylinders into the acetate arm to give it flexibility, a craft manufacturing process exclusive to Persol sunglasses, and you can see the 4 Meflecto inserts as vertical bands in the ear stems of these Persol Ratti Iris sunglasses. Black is a rarer color in general to find in vintage Persols, and the Iris Brevett is an early model in Persol production. The unisex Persol Iris Brevett frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 1.875" x 1.675" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched Persol. You'll find the trademark Persol silver arrow on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is impressed brevett and Ratti while the inside of the other stem is impressed Persol Iris.
