Vuarnet 027 Skilynx Black Olympics Commemorative Glacier Glasses
1 Vintage Vuarnet 027 Skilynx glacier glasses were produced in the early 1980s to commemorate Vuarnet's sponsorship of the 1984 Summer Olympics Games in Los Angeles. Vuarnet Skilynx lenses are an amber-yellow base glass lens with anti-reflective interior coatings and double gradient mirror silver exterior filters. This legendary Vuarnet lens eliminates glare and reflection, enhances contrast and depth of field, and is recognized as the essential lens for in the mountains and at sea. The ear stems are adjustable to perfect the fit and wrap around the ears which when combined with the nylon string through the leather blinkers securely adheres the glasses to your face. These black glacier glasses combined with brown leather blinkers are a classic of modern skiwear, high performance yet exceptionally stylish. The unisex Vuarnet glacier glasses frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet "V on a Ski". You'll find the Vuarnet logo and the Olympic rings embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and PX along with the repeating star symbol of the 1984 Summer Olympics on the other stem, and the inside of one stem is impressed France Nylon along with the crown trademark.
