The blue -green gradient lenses have a color reminiscent of the ocean and look great as do the gray lenses with the blue and gold 5623 frame. The center frame hinge raises to allow the interchangeable lenses to be inserted into small prongs on the frame, and the second set of lenses are stored in a felt pouch in the included black Carrera Porsche Design case. This style of vintage Porsche Carrera sunglasses was made possible in this moderately oversized style by the innovative use of optyl plastic to produce a lightweight yet optically excellent lens in a size that would be prohibitively heavy in glass. The Carrera 5623 55 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.675" x 2.125" at the widest points. Carrera Porsche Design along with the PD logo is laser etched on the left lens of both lens sets, and one ear stem is impressed with the unique serial number and marked Made in Austria 5623 55 130 and the other stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera along with the US patent number impressed on the black ear pad.
