Vintage Ray-Ban L2112 Changeable Rose 58mm aviator sunglasses are one of the rarest lens types in the Ray-Ban Changeables line of photochromatic sunglasses. The beautiful rose tint to these Bausch & Lomb mineral glass lenses immediately catches the eye, and they will darken considerably in the sunlight to adapt to varying light conditions - and why they were known as the world's first "smart lens" technology. The photochromatic properties of the B&L Changeable Rose lens are infused into the glass, not a coating that will wear out or wear off. They look great with the gold plated Ray-Ban 58mm aviator unisex frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the gold plated nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 and one ear pad is impressed L2112 VQAS, part of a fine collection of vintage Ray-Bans owned by a well known television personality and customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
