Vintage Ray-Ban L0124 CATS 1000 Changeable Rose sunglasses feature the very hard to find Rose Changeables photochromatic lenses that look terrific set against the eye catching red CATS frame. The Bausch & Lomb Changeable Rose lenses are photochromatic, darkening in the sunvlight and thus adapting to varying light conditions but always retaining the beautiful rose / pink hues of color. They appear light rose on overcast days to cut through haze and sharpen details. In brigh sunlight, they appear a warm dark gray with rose hues to give superior protection from glare and improve contrast. Changeable rose lenses provide excellent UV protection at all light levels with visible light transmittance of 65% in their lightest state to 17% in their darkest state. The photochromatic properties of this lens are infused into the glass, not a coating that will ever wear out or wear off. The unisex Ray-Ban CATS 1000 frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the CATS cat's paw logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the other stem, and the inside of one stem is impressed Bausch & Lomb along with the B&L triangle trademark while the inside of the other stem is impressed Frame France Nylon.
