Vintage Ray-Ban L1597 CATS 2000 Changeable Rose sunglasses are one of the rarest of all vintage Ray-Ban styles, with a flash full mirror coating applied to the front of the already rare Bausch & Lomb Changeable Rose lenses. These highly reflective Changeable Rose mirrored lenses use the combination of the front mirror filters to reflect glare along with the photochromatic properties of B&L Changeables lenses for the ultimate in high performance eye protection. Changeable rose lenses were produced in only very small quantities, and the full mirror coating applied to the front of the lenses added even more glare blocking power to allow visible light absorption of 62% to 88% depending upon their photochromatic state. They look great with the durable red nylon CATS 2000 frame, the perfect color complement for the Changeable Rose lenses. The photochromatic properties of the Bausch & Lomb Changeables lenses are infused into the glass, not a coating that will wear out or wear off. The unisex L1597 CATS 2000 frame measures approximately 5.385" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the CATS cat's paw logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the other stem, and the inside of one stem is impressed Bausch & Lomb along with the B&L triangle trademark while the inside of the other stem is impressed Frame France Nylon.
