1 Vintage Ray-Ban W1738 Sport Series 2 Chromax sunglasses feature top of the line Bausch & Lomb G-20 Chromax lenses that introduced B&L Ray-Ban "Chromax
Color Contrast" technology that increases the relative intensity and
contrast of critical driving colors (red, green and amber). Chromax
lenses selectively filter light from the driving environment, making
brake lights, traffic signals and signs appear bright and easier to
see. The Ray-Ban Sport Series 2 was one of the first high performance sports sunglasses produced by B&L Ray-Ban, with a wrap design to contour more closely to your face to give added eye protection from the sides. The uniquely designed ear stems of the Sport Series feature a hook mechanism that can release a second stem that curls more closely and securely behind the ears. This is a really nice feature, because you can wear them hooked as regular sunglasses for the easy on and off or you can wear them unhooked in the shooter style to give you extra security for active sports and movement. The unisex Ray-Ban W1738 Sport Series 2 sunglasses frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the G20 Chromax lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 1.375" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the Chromax lightning bolt trademark and both lenses laser etched BL. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is marked Sport Series 2 and one ear pad is impressed W1738 YYAS.
